Benson’s first book (1986) now in reprint. This should be required reading for any one considering a Timber Frame Home. A good nuts and bolts primer on the process

The Timber Frame Home
Benson’s second book (1997) picks up where the first left off. Updated to reflect 10 years in the industry. While we may have different opinions on methodology, probably the best overall book on Timber Framing. Excellent photos and text!
