Design & Construction Consultation

Timberworks can supply many consultation services to assist with your planning and construction. From preliminary or schematic drawings to facilitate the design process to on site instruction, assistance & guidance for Owner-Builders, we can help!

Custom Design & Planning

Our clients enjoy being able to use Timberworks as their one stop for whatever design assistance required. Feasibility studies, custom design utilizing CAD drafting & modeling are some of the in house services we provide. We always supply engineering reviews and state specific approvals. If you choose to work with an outside designer we can coordinate our Timber Frame design & engineering with your designer’s work.

Installation

We offer installation services of any of our products or any specialty products we supply for your project. If you want to install yourself, or are working with another contractor we can ship to your project site and consult on the proper handling & installation.

Construction Contracting & Management

Timberworks can assist in all aspects of your project. Close to Dallas, PA we can offer complete Construction Contracting services. Out of our area we can help with planning, Construction Management or simply help you with selecting & managing local contractors.

Remodeling & Additions/Partial Buildings

Close to our shop we offer full remodeling services, whether your project involves Timber Framing or not. Timberworks can help with building improvements, additions or maintenance of your investment. We can even incorporate Timber Framing in your existing residence or business.

If you wish to Timber Frame only part of your project, Timberworks can still help. A Great Room or wing of your project could still have the warmth of a hand crafted Timber Frame!

Custom Timber Framed structures are the mainstay of Architectural Timberworks. Whether your project calls for a new home, an accessory structure, church, restaurant, retail space or light commercial building we can provide a timber design to compliment your dreams. We can provide Timber Frame additions & porches. We can Timber Frame the entire building or just one room. We can even provide timbers for esthetic purposes in new or existing buildings. Basically, if your plans call for timbers we can fill your requirements.

Our Timber Framing projects typically include design & engineering for the structure, fabrication and installation. Our clients enjoy being able to choose from the myriad of options available in a frame from Timberworks. We have no predetermined designs so it follows that we are able to offer our clients choices ranging from joinery style, wood species, surface finishes and embellishments. Timber Trusses & Roof Systems

We offer timber roof trusses or entire roof systems which can compliment any type of construction. From restaurants, conventional homes to log homes, Timberworks can design, engineer, fabricate and install a roof system to meet your needs.

Structural Insulated Panels (SIP's)

Timberworks can design, supply and install Sip's to enclose your project. From enclosures for Timber Frame projects, to a complete SIP structure, we have the expertise in working with this technology. Take advantage of our 26+ years of experience with SIP's

For those of you unfamiliar with these panels, SIP's are a composite of familiar construction materials fashioned into the fastest, most cost effective and energy efficient method to enclose Timber Frames. Entire buildings can now even be framed exclusively using SIP's at a considerable life cost savings. The SIP's we use are an assembly of interior and exterior "skins" with a foam core between. We apply the panels to the outside of the timbers, both walls and roofs. This system provides an uninterrupted insulation curtain unbroken by framing members. The very nature of the insulating foam core and the detail of the panel seams provide an uninterrupted vapor barrier. The panels are available with a variety of skin options which allows Timberworks to choose the form best suited to your design.

Metalworks & Blacksmithing

While our focus is on traditional joinery held with wood pins, there are times when metal fasteners are requested or required. Some of this can be accomplished using stock fasteners from national suppliers. For everything else Timberworks can design and fabricate whatever is required. This can range from flat plates with smooth finishes to custom hand forged ironwork in a wide array of finishes and textures to compliment your design.

Production Woodworking

We can also provide customized production woodworking. We have extensive experience in manufacturing wood products for the rail and transportation industry. Services we have provided in the past include custom drilling, counter-boring, mortising and shaping. Our specialized skills and equipment allow us to provide unusual or difficult machining processes.
