Journeyman Joiner & Housewright Summary Description

* This position is for any personnal which are working in a Journeyman Joiner & Housewright position, or working towards a Project Leader position. You must be willing and able to execute all of the responsibilities of a Apprentice Joiner position, as well as, but not limited to the following:

* You must have all the abilities required to take the shop drawings and select materials, layout all work, and follow all processes through to a completed project or task.
* You must display that you are continuing the learning of new materials and methods related to your position and all aspects of construction.
* You must display intermediate skill levels in many aspects of construction craftsmanship, including, but not limited to; excavation, concrete, masonry, carpentry, finishes & materials, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, sheet metal, kitchens & baths.
* Be responsible for quality control and correction of defects.
* Supervision and mentoring of Apprentices.
* Display the ability for advanced repair & maintenance procedures on all tools and equipment.
* You must be able to direct overhead lifting equipment operators with hand signals.
* Display the knowledge of rigging as required.
* Be responsible for safety equipment and training.
* Be responsible for shop and project safety & security.
* Be responsible for packaging, shipment loading and restraining, to limit product loss or damage.
* Be responsible for enforcing all company policies regarding safety, foul language, radios or music, drugs, alcohol, tobacco or shop/project/jobsite cleanliness, and reporting all violations to your Project Leader.
* You will be required to have a kit of tools to suit all aspects of your position. See our Handbook for specific requirements.
