Apprentice Joiner Summary Description

* This position is for any personnal which are working towards a Journeyman Joiner & Housewright position. Your responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:

* Display of the required physical and mental capabilities of the position.
* You must be able to converse, read & write English to a 12th. grade level.
* Maintenance & cleaning of the shop building and grounds.
* Maintenance & cleaning of the project site and grounds.
* Daily maintenance & cleaning of the shop equipment and tools.
* Daily maintenance & cleaning of company vehicles, including maintaining vehicle material & tool inventories.
* Tracking of shop material & tool inventories.
* Running of errands and material pick-ups, including providing receipts and Invoices for all purchases to your supervisor.
* Accurate daily time card reporting and job breakdown to your Project Leader.
* Receiving deliveries, signing receipts and checking in material quantities and damaged goods reporting to your supervisor.
* Storing of materials to avoid damages.
* Maintaining security of the shop, grounds and project sites.

* Learning & applying all aspects of the craft of Timber Framing, Structural Insulated Panels, safety, and building construction.
* Independant study of all aspects of building construction & Code compliance.
* Ability to handle, maintain and operate power tools, hand tools and equipment.
* You will be required to have a basic kit of tools from day one. Additional personal tools will be expected of you as your job responsibilities grow. See our Handbook for specific requirements.
* Ability to read and understand shop drawings.
* Assembly, protection and wrapping of products for shipment.
* Forklift operation and safety training.
* Finishing of products before packaging.
* You must display basic skill levels in many aspects of construction craftsmanship, including, but not limited to; excavation, concrete, masonry, carpentry, finishes & materials, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, sheet metal, kitchens & baths
