Custom Fireplace Screens

This product came about as Timberworks Housewrights was searching for a nice fireplace screen to compliment a newly installed masonry fireplace. Everything out there seemed to be cheaply made, overpriced and, frankly, ugly!

It was suggested that we make one, and being never able to refuse a challenging project, we picked up the staff! A direction and general theme was decided upon, and here are the results. We can design a screen using just about any artwork you come up with. The only restriction is that we need to be able to turn it into simple line-art. Please keep in mind that using the same techniques we utilize for the firescreens, we can design and fabricate most any decorative metalwork you can imagine. Get in touch with your ideas or designs and see what we can do together!

How It Works

Using the Fireplace Screen form you can fill in your required information, attach your artwork and send us everything electronically. It is also possible to print the form and fill it out by hand, although this will mean that you will need to mail it to us, along with your artwork on disk.

The base pricing displayed on our Fireplace Screen order page is based on some preset size limitations, the steel "framework" of the screen, steel mesh and everything painted with flat black high-temperature paint. As you work down through the menus you will be able to choose some options, but keep an eye on that bottom line. That upgrade to bronze screening might cause palpitations! If you do not see the options that you want on the pricing page, just pick up the phone and call Timberworks. We can do a complete custom project for you to get you exactly what you want! As said above, we love a challenge.

Ordering a Custom Firescreen is a two step process for you. Of course, you can browse our order page first to get an idea on pricing before committing to your purchase. Other than that, the first step should be to download the Fireplace Screen form and fill out your choices and preferences. Your artwork does not need to accompany your sending this to us as, in most cases, your choice of design will not effect the price! Please remember though, that we can not begin fabrication until we have your artwork as well as your approval of the final design.

Your second step is to return to the order page and submit your order, provided it fits within the limitations of our listing there. Anything outside of those lines will need to be a totally custom design and Timberworks will contact you with pricing and ordering information.
