Timberworks Housewrights Return Policies

Timberworks Housewrights wants you to be pleased with the products or services you purchase from our web site. We do need to ask that you follow certain procedures for any returns you would like to make.

General Return Information

Please open and inspect your order as soon as you receive it.

If you note any discrepancies, please see the "Order Error" section below.

If you note any shipping damage, please see the "Damaged Goods" section below.

If you need to initiate a return, please use the form below to request authorization. If we require more information we will contact you. As soon as we process your request we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) to you by E-mail. We will then need you to securely repackage the item for shipment and ship it back to us. Until we receive your merchandise back, the safety of the material is in your hands, therefore we recommend that the shipment be properly insured. It is absolutely necessary for you to include a copy of your Invoice or Packing Slip, with your RMA# noted on it, in the package. Your RMA# should also be noted on the shipping label. No return will be accepted without a RMA#.

We can not accept any COD returns. Unless we have made an error on your order, costs for the return shipment are your responsibilty.

All returns must be in original packaging & in saleable condition. Altered or etched items will not be accepted.

Merchandise Returns

If you want to return any merchandise, for any reason, we will accept returns within 30 days of your receipt of the order. Exceptions: items that have been installed or are missing original packaging. Also, some items we sell are both time and temperature sensitive, so we can offer no returns on foams, mastics or tapes.

Damaged Goods

If your order arrives damaged we need to have you place a claim with us within 2 days of your receipt of merchandise by using the form below or your claim will not be accepted. If you notice shipping damage at the time of delivery please note this with the carrier so that the damage is logged. You should keep all the packaging as the carrier may choose to inspect the damaged goods and container. At Timberworks Housewrights sole discretion, we may request return of the damaged goods. If we elect to have the goods returned we will issue either a call tag with the carrier, or we may provide a prepaid return label for your use. We will require you to repack the delivery so the return can be facilitated.

Order Error

If we made an error on your order we need to have you place a claim with us with 7 days of your receipt of merchandise by using the form below or your claim will not be accepted. You can use the form below to notify us of the error or shortage.

In the case of you receiving the wrong merchandise, we will issue either a call tag with the carrier, or we may provide a prepaid return label for your use. We will require you to repack the delivery so the return can be facilitated. We will ship your correct order within one business day after we receive your return.

If we shorted you on quantities or items, we will ship your correct order within one business day after we receive your claim.

Defective Product Returns

If a product fails within 1 year from your purchase date (unless otherwise noted), please use the form below to issue your claim. Once we accept your claim we will issue either a call tag with the carrier, or we may provide a prepaid return label for your use. We will require you to pack the delivery so the return can be facilitated. A credit will be issued when the defective items are received. If the merchandise fails during the manufacturer's product warranty, but after one year from the purchase date, Timberworks Housewrights reserves the right to refer you to the manufacturer for replacement or service of the failed product. Exceptions: time and temperature sensitive items; foams, mastics or tapes.

Product Repairs

Timberworks Housewrights can only offer on-site repairs for products that we personally have installed, and subject to the conditions of the manufacturers warranty. Outside of this, any parts and labor required to repair or replace defective items must be provided by you or your installer. Timberworks MAY be able to offer for-fee on-site assistance under our Service Call Agreement.

If a product we install fails within 1 year from your purchase date we will repair or replace the item per the manufacturers warranty, in effect, at no cost for the labor. Depending on the specific warranty, you may be charged for some parts in whole, or on a pro-rated basis. This does not apply to normal maintenance and/or parts.

Special Order Items

Because of the nature of special order or custom items, these sales are considered final, and we can not offer any returns or credits.
