What We Do
The package Timberworks provides for your project totally depends on your requirements! We can work with sketches or designs you have developed yourself, integrate our services with drawings that you or an outside designer develop, or we can provide an entire custom design - from concept sketches through finished Construction Documents. Tell us your needs and we make it happen.
We take the design process as one encompassing system, composed of many small systems. The sub-systems that need to be considered range from:
Life patterns & "traffic" flow - we take your lifestyle and daily routines and incorporate these into your home.
Timber Frame esthetic elements - these are the pretty bits! We look at style, proportions and color. And we often have solutions to your perplexing problems, that are everyday occurrences to us! Let us apply our craftsmanship to your ideas.
Structural requirements & engineering - Timberworks can provide engineering calculations, analysis, review & approvals. All of our Timber Frame designs include these services!
Building Code requirements - Timberworks Housewrights is well versed in Building Code intent and limitations. Lean on our experience!
Mechanical requirements - Timberworks knows the products AND installation requirements for every component you need; heating, plumbing, electric, communication, security, air ventilation...and coming soon; solar & wind systems!
Sustainability, healthy living environment, low impact & low energy use - Today the buzzword is "green". Nothing new for us here! These concepts were part of the founding principles of Timberworks nearly 30 years ago!
